Two in five older workers would dye their hair to get a job

Two in five (41%) people aged 45 and over would consider dyeing their hair to look younger if it helped get them a job or a promotion, poll findings released on 2 October. s

The poll commissioned by the Centre for Ageing Better’s campaign, ‘Age Without Limits’, further revealed that one in five (20%) people aged over 45 would consider Botox or fillers, and 15% of people in the same age group would contemplate getting plastic surgery to look younger, if it helped them to get a job or a promotion. The Metropolitan Police has been hit with a fresh scandal over claims of racism and misogyny after officers at a London police station were secretly filmed making offensive comments and bragging about using violence.

Parents turn to EPA’s (Employee Assistance Programmes) to support children’s Mental Health

The rise in calls about children’s mental health reflects a 2024 report by Deloitte that found 46% of working parents had such concerns. Taking time off work, reducing hours and leaving jobs as a consequence meant that this was costing employers £8bn a year. Find out more here

Health Secretary to clamp down on antisemitism in the NHS
