Our team

John is a highly experienced leader, senior manager and trustee. Over the last twenty years he has undertaken work for a wide range of large national and local Charities and smaller community-based organisations.

John is passionate about equality, fairness and justice and for many years integrated this passion and his expertise in the field within his primary role. He previously led on equalities for the Motor Neurone Disease Association before focussing in 2021 solely on this area as the Association’s Head of Diversity Equity and Inclusion.

As an independent consultant, John specialised in individual, team and organisational development. He is both strategic and operational and has a strong track record of turning concepts into working solutions and then delivering them. He has developed and implemented equality and other strategies for a number of different organisations.

John is an exceptionally good facilitator, trainer and presenter. He creates and delivers bespoke learning and development solutions that meet organisational and individual needs creatively and effectively but is equally comfortable delivering off the shelf courses and events.

Outside of work John volunteers either as a trustee or at a grass roots level within his local community. He is currently involved with a Birmingham street homeless charity and one of the Warwickshire prisons. An ex-pat Londoner, John lives in the West Midlands. He has recently completed a law degree and now uses his spare time to renovate and sail traditional wooden boats.
